Merryn Hughes has over 20 years experience producing international cultural, sporting, corporate and festival events. Merryn produced the Closing Ceremony of the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006, the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2003 Rugby World Cup and was Executive Producer of Australia's Cultural Program for World Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan and World Expo 2000 in Hannover, Germany. Previous to this, Merryn produced the outdoor entertainment programs in precincts across the city for six Sydney Festivals and the spectacular 1988 Australia Day Bicentennial Celebrations on Sydney Harbour In conjunction with producing large scale public events, Merryn designs and produces corporate communication strategies and has worked with numerous international corporations including McDonalds, Optus, Westpac, Toyota, Flight Centre. . A highly experienced Show Producer, Merryn also lectures in event management at Australian universities.
